Deze zeer stevige X-Tick slobkousen bestaan uit een scheurbestendige stof van onder meer Cellsolution® Protection garen. Deze stof biedt de drager een hogere en zeer duurzame bescherming tegen insecten zoals teken die de ziekte van Lyme kunnen veroozaken. De uniek gepatenteerde constructie van het Cellsolution® Protection garen, zorgt voor een gecontroleerde afgifte van de permethrine en in kleine concentratie efficiënt blijft gedurende de hele levensduur van de slobkous. Dit in tegenstelling tot de klassiek oppervlak behandelde kwaliteiten waarbij een hoge concentratie actief bestanddeel zich op het oppervlak bevindt, en die door dragen en wassen, snel in efficiëntie vermindert. Deze zogenaamde ‘’knock down’’ fase vangt aan van zodra de teek zich op de stof begeeft. Onder meer door deze nieuwe benadering van permethrine inherent in de vezel is het Cellsolution®Protection garen OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 klasse 1 gekeurd. Dit toont onder meer aan dat huidirritatie door het in contact komen met de stof uiterst gering of onbestaande is.
